Warrington East District

The District Structure.

We are a registered charity and are run entirely by volunteers.

At the head of our District is our District Commissioner, supported by Deputy and Assistant District Commissioners. We also have a Distict Executive Committee (Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and other members), the comittee with the district comissioner act as charity trustees for the district.

Network and Explorer Units are run directly by the district, units for younger sections (Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts) are run by groups within the district and are seperate charities.

Groups and Units In Warrington East

We have groups located in Culcheth, Oughtrington, Thelwall, Croft, Birchwood, Lymm, Glazebury, Hollins Green, Grappenhall, Fairfield, Padgate and Woolston. You can find a full list of our groups on the Our Groups page, or find the nearest to you using our locator tool.

All of our Groups host Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, but, for the moment, only two (Gorse Covert and Birchwood) host Squirrels.

There are also four Explorer Units in the District, hosted at BirchwoodWoolstonGrappenhall and Oughtrington

We are always looking for supporters and volunteers to Grow Scouting in Warrington, we offer flexible volunteering and support with training where necessary as well as the opportunity to volunteer alongside other experienced leaders who will help you adapt to and enjoy you chosen role.
